Forklift Operator II Job Description

At Coca-Cola Consolidated, we're looking for a skilled Forklift Operator II to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our facility and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pull vending and cold drink equipment to fulfill sales request needs
  • Ensure all outbound loads are secured and safe by applying protective wrapping as needed
  • Load and unload trailers, as needed, to support delivery activities
  • Perform safety and housekeeping activities, including pre-and post-trip checks and daily documentation
  • Utilize a switcher to maneuver 53 and pup trailers to the dock as needed
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of basic safety principles, including proper lifting and use of personal protective equipment
  • Advanced forklift skills (single-wide) with the ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a small area
  • Rudimentary mechanical skills and simple tool usage
  • Ability to operate multiple pieces of simple machinery
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
