Job Title: Phlebotomy Specialist

The Phlebotomy Specialist represents the face of Bayone to patients who come to our facilities, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. This role draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The Phlebotomy Specialist has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draw blood samples from patients in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
  • Prepare blood samples for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and ensure a positive experience.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
Work Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The Phlebotomy Specialist must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals. The role requires flexibility to work in different locations and adapt to changing circumstances.
