The Monitor Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective care of patients by monitoring cardiac rhythms and reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe cardiac monitors to recognize arrhythmias and report changes to the nursing staff
  • Use equipment to track multiple patients simultaneously
  • Clean and maintain equipment, ensuring batteries are charged and installed properly
  • Perform clerical and receptionist functions, retrieve data, and prepare patient charts

Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with the American Heart Association

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with healthcare providers and multitask
