The Culinary Specialist is responsible for ensuring that patient meals are prepared and cooked in a timely manner, adhering to authorized menus and local, state, and federal guidelines. This role requires a strong understanding of food production and quality control, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food items according to scheduled menus
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment
- Label, date, and store food items and leftovers
- Assist in the training and supervision of new staff members
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Current state Food Manager Certificate
- Experience in food preparation and production in a healthcare setting
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
