Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Cardiac Registered Nurse to join our team at MountainView Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice through implementation of the nursing process and nursing diagnosis.
  • Administer medications as ordered for specific groups of patients and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications.
  • Initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for assigned patients.
  • Assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities that consider the complexity of nursing care required by each patient.
  • Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate identified concerns to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient education and keep patients informed of treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada.
  • AACN National Certification preferred.
  • Attend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by Manager/Director.
  • Current BCLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • Current ACLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior (MAB)/De-escalation Techniques course.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred.
