Management of Maintenance Personnel
- Organizing and directing the workload and schedules of maintenance staff.
- Ensure optimal maintenance coverage across all shifts by coordinating staff schedules.
- Facilitate ongoing training for maintenance personnel to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Implement and utilize maintenance management software to uphold a robust preventative maintenance strategy.
- Collaborate with production teams to synchronize maintenance schedules and work orders.
- Support the leadership team in fostering a culture focused on safety and operational excellence.
- Promote continuous improvement in safety protocols and cleanliness standards.
- Develop and enforce best practices for housekeeping within the maintenance department to ensure a safe and orderly work environment.
- Partner with leadership to uphold high-quality standards in maintenance operations, ensuring cleanliness and proper repair procedures.
- Mentor and assess maintenance staff, communicating their accomplishments and staffing requirements to management.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators related to maintenance's influence on safety, quality, service, cost, and personnel.
- Maintain open lines of communication with management and team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Engage in significant projects as directed by management, fulfilling additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive maintenance background in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in sourcing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across various departments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
