Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at InterCon Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various projects, including developing bids/estimates, maintaining operational aspects within budget, managing vehicles, equipment, materials, and tooling, customer relationships, planning and overseeing project start-up and closures, and performing risk management activities to include safety and asset accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop positive relationships with customers' personnel and their 3rd party representatives on the site, including Project Managers, Schedulers, Project Controls Specialists, and Construction Managers.

* Collaborate with the General Foreman on project issues regarding budget and scheduling.

* Collaborate with the General Foreman and other departments to acquire tooling, equipment, materials, etc. to complete the project.

* Coordinate with the General Foreman regarding subcontractors' schedules.

* Collaborate with the General Foreman and Safety personnel to develop project-specific safety plans, communicate the company's core value of safety, and project-specific safety requirements, goals, and objectives.

* Ensure all customer communications are documented.

* Develop project schedules in collaboration with the General Foreman and in compliance with customer requirements, deadlines, and/or milestones.

* Identify any variances from the baseline and determine appropriate course of action to remedy any schedule slippage in collaboration with the General Foreman.

* Communicate schedule updates and any schedule slippage remedies to the customer and gain their approval, including any compensation component.

* Develop project budget based on the estimate/proposal, including the budget breakdown by task and appropriate tracking units, and developing cost codes for tasks/units.

* Track project budget and identify any over/under budget areas.

* Collaborate with the General Foreman in determining remedies for any over budget items.

* Provide forecasts to the customer and participate in forecast/budget meetings as required.

* Collaborate with the Quality Department in determining project quality metrics and quality metric measuring methods.

* Track and organize quality metrics from the field for reporting.

* Report project quality metrics to Vice President monthly, or more often as required.

* Participate in any customer required/requested quality meeting, audit, and/or review.

* Prepare and distribute completed RFPs for subcontractors.

* Review subcontractor proposals for completeness and scope coverage.

* Recommend subcontractors for the project.

* Furnish information to the Contract Administrator to complete subcontract agreements, including scope of work, pricing, and customer-specific requirements.

* Collaborate with Superintendent to review and approve subcontractor schedules.

* Integrate subcontractor schedule into the master project schedule.

* Negotiate and approve subcontract scope changes in accordance with all customer contract requirements.

* Break down units and complete take-offs.

* Obtain material pricing based on units.

* Develop and distribute subcontractor RFPs based on scope of work and develop bid schedule.

* Complete estimates based on units and bid schedule.

* Develop RFP deliverables for a complete bid package, including safety plans, execution plans, quality plans, environmental plans, and other plans as required by the customer.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.

* Must have knowledge of the appropriate codes and standards governing the design and operating requirements for overhead electric.

* Proven ability to successfully manage assigned projects to meet or exceed project schedule and fee estimate.

* Ability to identify changes in scope and receive client approval before proceeding with the design work.

* Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor and interface effectively with assigned staff.

* Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software desirable.

* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.

* Must have a state driver's license with a clean driving record.

* Must be willing to travel throughout Wisconsin approximately 50% of the time.
