Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Adult Emergency Department at VCU Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to adult patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible for compact state licensure.
  • At least 12-24 months of RN experience, with 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to work all three shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic healthcare experience.
  • Experience working with similar patient populations in acute care settings.
  • Certification in specialty area.
