A Sr Electrical Engineer role at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems offers you the opportunity to be continually challenged and allows you to demonstrate your skills and talent in a highly collaborative environment.

You will be integral to leading the design and development of many future military armament systems.

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Military systems design experience requiring compliance with specifications such as MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810
  • Interest in supporting the full range of product development from concept through final test
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting components, electrical assemblies, and test equipment
Major Position Responsibilities

Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.

Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.

Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.

Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.

Basic Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Technical expertise; Analytical thinking skills; Problem-solving skills

Required Education:

Associates Degree

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Discipline/Major:

General Engineering or specialized Engineering degree required

Experience:

  • 7 years experience in a relevant function

Travel:

less than 25%
