Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and executing healthy meal services that meet or exceed our income goals while maintaining affordability for families.

This is an hourly, part-time position with a competitive rate of $19.50 per hour based on prior experience. Prorated tuition remission is available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement multi-month menus, ensuring variety and appeal to students
  • Maintain inventory control and shop for food and supplies as needed
  • Prepare meals, cook, and clean in compliance with Erie County Department of Health standards
  • Supervise volunteers and manage kitchen operations as required
  • Provide weekly expense reports to the Business Office
Requirements
  • Passion for food and nutrition, especially for children
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience cooking for large groups, ideally in a commercial kitchen setting
  • Ability to source local ingredients and promote sustainability
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vehicle for shopping
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Working Conditions

This is an in-person, part-time position requiring approximately 25-30 hours of work per week during weeks without holidays or half-days.
