Cardiology Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiology Technician to join our team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a Cardiology Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical operations of our Cardiology department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with clerical and administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Monitor and manage work queues, ensuring timely completion of tasks and accurate documentation.
  • Register and track Zio monitors, assign for reading, and ensure results are sent to ordering providers.
  • Initiate paperwork for nurses, including surgical clearance, return to work, and disability documentation.
  • Perform phlebotomy and assist with room turnover as needed.
  • Assist with medication prior authorization paperwork and serve as a resource to others.
  • Complete reports and statistics as requested by the System Director.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Understanding of medical terminology required.
  • MA, CAN, CRNA, or other entry-level medical certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office preferred.
  • Previous experience with health insurance and patient billing preferred.
