Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Security Officer to join our team at Penske Motor Group. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our 50+ acre campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol the entire campus to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
- Secure doors, windows, and gates to ensure the safety of our employees and guests.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances to maintain a secure environment.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees and guests.
- Write reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activity, safety and fire hazards, and other security-related situations.
- Provide assistance to guests and employees as needed.
- Warn and communicate any rule infractions or violations, and obtain assistance to apprehend or evict violators from the premises.
- Perform other specific administrative functions as directed by management.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- California State Guard Card (preferred but not required).
- Ability to communicate information in writing and read and understand information in the English language.
- Must be able to use good judgment in challenging situations.
- Can successfully communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet, and in person, and use standard office equipment.
- Must have a valid California Driver's License and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, bending, reaching, and squatting.
