This role involves working with our Patient Registration team to deliver outstanding service to individuals seeking healthcare assistance.
Work Schedule
This position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
The Patient Access Specialist will be tasked with:
- Facilitating patient access activities for various services, ensuring smooth operations and optimal satisfaction for both patients and staff.
- Acting as a key point of contact between INTEGRIS and patients, providers, and payers, addressing all pre-care inquiries.
- Providing comprehensive information regarding patient coverage, benefits, and financial responsibilities.
- Conducting financial counseling, including screening for assistance programs and payment options.
- Handling inbound communications from patients and other stakeholders to resolve inquiries effectively.
- Documenting all patient interactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Participating in team initiatives aimed at improving departmental processes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of one year of experience in patient access operations or related fields.
- Familiarity with scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and customer service.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is preferred.
