About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Acute Care Unit, you will provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with acute cardiac conditions. Your expertise will be invaluable in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with acute cardiac conditions, recognizing and responding to their health needs
  • Develop individualized care plans, adjusting treatments as necessary to meet patient needs
  • Administer medications and therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families about cardiac health, treatment plans, and lifestyle changes
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and seamless communication
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies and standards
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to respond to changes in patient conditions
  • Foster a therapeutic environment by building professional relationships with patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence in patient care
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Strong understanding of cardiac care and nursing standards
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in electronic medical documentation and basic computer skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
