Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting high voltage power supplies and electronic sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of electronic circuitry and be familiar with various testing methods and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine tasks as directed and under close supervision, communicating directly with Production Management and Manufacturing Engineering to support a culture of continual improvement.
- Test and calibrate high voltage power supplies to ensure completed units meet customer specifications for performance and safety in accordance with Product Acceptance Test Procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair high voltage power supplies, recording functional data during testing phases and analyzing results for test validity.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering to develop test procedures and strategies.
- Operate various types of measuring equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital meters, auto testers, signal generators, and special test fixtures.
- Must understand electronic theory and electrical circuitry.
- Prior experience testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies is a plus.
- Read and understand schematics and circuits.
- Able to troubleshoot down to assembly level.
- Able to work from a written test procedure (ATP).
- Computer literate in MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Experience in High Voltage Power Supplies environment is a plus.
- Certification in Electronics from a trade school, or Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology.
Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds. Technicians work with units that produce high voltage, which may also produce x-rays. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment, including eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, hardhats, and facemasks.
CompensationOur good faith estimate of the wage range for this role is $18 - $37/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
