Career Advancement Opportunity as Financial Representative

At Mutual of Omaha, we are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Financial Representative Trainee. As a member of our Accelerator Program, you will embark on a comprehensive journey designed to equip you with the skills and competencies necessary to excel in selling Individual Insurance products and building a sustainable, holistic financial practice.
What We Can Offer- A competitive hourly wage of $16 during the trainee period, which lasts up to 30 days
- Promotion to a Financial Representative with an annual base salary of $36,000, plus unlimited monthly sales incentive upon completion of the trainee period
- A $1,000 bonus after successful completion of the trainee period and promotion to a Financial Representative
We also offer a range of benefits, including:
- An education-based Accelerator Program designed to successfully transition you to an independent Financial Advisor
- A 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match
- 15 days of vacation per year for regular associates working 40 hours a week
- 11 paid holidays in 2025, including 2 floating holidays
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Participate in a comprehensive program to develop the skills required to provide holistic financial advice to clients
- Gain valuable direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products to clients and pass a sales process competency test
- Cultivate and sustain prospecting skills such as research, targeting, networking, communication and more through use of personal networks, community events, and social media
Key qualifications for this position include:
- Successfully meeting all trainee program requirements, gaining the skills and knowledge needed to excel
- Obtaining the required insurance licenses prior to starting the job, with up to two attempts allowed for the Life and Health exam
- Passing the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing, with securities licensing required within 24 months of entry into the program
