Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Dayton Freight. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Test and repair electrical systems, including wiring and circuitry.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure optimal vehicle performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a variety of vehicles.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
  • Fluent in English and ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check.
