About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist I to join our team at the Colorado Department of Human Services. As a Psychologist I, you will play a critical role in providing forensic evaluations and assessments to support the court system and ensure public safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive forensic evaluations and assessments to determine competency to proceed, sanity, and mental condition.
  • Develop and deliver expert testimony to courts regarding competency, restoration, and sanity.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals with mental health needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and research in forensic psychology through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
  • Current, valid licensure as a Psychologist from the Colorado State Board of Psychologist Examiners.
  • One (1) year of experience as a licensed psychologist or permitted psychologist candidate.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make critical decisions in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders.
