Job Summary

As an Assistant Rural Carrier with the US Postal Service, you will be responsible for delivering packages on Sundays and observed holidays using dynamic route descriptions. Your duties will include case, deliver, and collect mail and packages on Saturday along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver mail and packages to customers along a designated rural route
  • Use dynamic route descriptions to navigate and deliver packages on Sundays and observed holidays
  • Collect mail and packages from customers and deposit them into mailboxes or other designated areas
  • Operate a vehicle safely and efficiently to complete deliveries
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid driver's license and a good understanding of the rural route and its customers. You will also need to be able to lift and carry mail and packages as needed.
