Customer Service Representative I (Full-Time)

Location: Mount Dora, FL

Department: Finance Department

Employment Type: Full-time Non-Exempt

Compensation: $15.00/hr - $15.60/hr DOQ

Under the general oversight of the Customer Service Supervisor, this role involves delivering professional support to the public as the primary liaison with the City. This position frequently serves as the first point of interaction between the City and its customers, necessitating a high level of professionalism at all times.

The responsibilities include:

  • Performing a range of clerical tasks
  • Maintaining records
  • Handling cash transactions
  • Processing payments
  • Entering data
  • Providing customer service related to City services

This position requires independent work capabilities. Exceptional customer service skills, proficiency in computer applications, and prior experience in a similar role are essential.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least two (2) years of experience in customer service
  • Must be bondable
  • A comparable combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Valid Florida Driver License
  • Completion of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within six months of the probationary period
