Job Summary

As a Truck Porter at Bruckner Truck & Equipment, you will play a vital role in the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of our Service department. Your primary responsibilities will include performing quality control inspections on trucks and components, making recommended repairs based on inspections, and conducting road tests as needed to ensure all work has been performed completely and the vehicle is safe to operate.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform road tests and dyno tests on trucks as necessary to diagnose problems and ensure repairs are complete.
• Be familiar with applicable warranty coverage of the entire truck and determine if a repair is warrantable.
• Inspect all tagged warranty parts as the job is completed to verify all necessary parts have been retained and boxed properly for shipment.
• Be at work at least thirty minutes prior to the time for the mechanics to perform any carryover road tests from the previous day.
• Be willing to work additional hours as the workload and business requires and perform other duties or functions as directed by management.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years as a mechanic or CDL driver familiar with pre-trip and post-trip inspections as outlined by the Department of Transportation.
