Job Summary
We are seeking an Executive Chef to join our team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus, federal, state, and local standards, and our established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus, federal, state, and local standards, and our established policies and procedures.
- Assist in assuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed.
- Support Dietary Aide as necessary and direct other employees with approval.
- Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow safety precautions.
- Report equipment/cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
- Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met.
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment is achieved at all times.
- Follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques.
- Positively represent Healthcare Services Group by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff.
- Have positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
To be successful as an Executive Chef, you will need a positive attitude, ability to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and experience in food preparation is desired. You must also be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods. You must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and work around food and cleaning products.
Salary Range
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on the location in Pottstown, PA.
