Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Evaluate Patients: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their physical therapy needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement effective treatment plans that address the physical therapy needs of patients, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions.
- Communicate with Patients and Healthcare Team: Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care and coordination.
- Provide Education and Training: Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on physical therapy techniques and best practices.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information.
- Stay Current with Industry Developments: Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and research in physical therapy to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduation from a physical therapy curriculum acceptable to the Commission on Accreditation in Education of the American Physical Therapy Association and approved by the California State Board of Medical Quality Assurance.
- License or Certification: Current California Registered Physical Therapist license and Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in physical therapy, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
