MRI Imaging Specialist

MRI Technologist Role:
An MRI Technologist is responsible for analyzing patient histories, completing screenings for pacemakers and metal objects, and preparing contrast dyes. They must ensure patients are comfortable and calm during scans, perform equipment inspections, and schedule maintenance. The Technologist positions patients, completes MRI scans according to physician specifications, and maintains a clean and safe MRI room environment. They also train junior staff and write reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing patient histories and completing screenings
- Preparing and administering contrast dyes
- Ensuring patient comfort and calmness during scans
- Performing equipment inspections and scheduling maintenance
- Positioning patients and completing MRI scans according to physician specifications
- Maintaining a clean and safe MRI room environment
- Training junior staff and writing reports
Additional Requirements:
Qualified technologists will use advanced open MRI and 3R scanners for a range of MRI exams, working on a two-tech model. They will collaborate with technologists from other modalities to coordinate care and provide the best patient experience.
