We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Explorer Teacher at Primrose School of Cahoon Commons. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily activities and overall supervision of a classroom of children.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines related to child health, safety, and care.
- Implement and adapt lesson plans in alignment with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
- Create and maintain an engaging and organized classroom that promotes exploration and decision-making.
- Provide positive reinforcement and set clear expectations for student behavior.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep of the classroom and shared spaces.
- Participate in required meetings, workshops, and school events.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with school standards.
- Assist in various capacities as directed by the School Director.
- Must meet the basic requirements set by local child care regulatory agencies.
- Experience in a licensed early childhood education setting is preferred.
- Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safety and care of children.
- A two-year degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, and/or CDA is advantageous.
- Familiarity with elementary curriculum focusing on literacy, mathematics, and science.
