At Pave, our vision is simple: to create a labor market built on trust.

We're building a compensation platform powered by the largest real-time compensation dataset on earth, giving you confidence in every compensation decision.

We partner with customers to help them build and retain world-class teams through planning, communicating and benchmarking their team's compensation in real time.

Our customers include Allbirds, Hover, Credit Karma, Grammarly, and more.

If you enjoy playing to win, building with intellectual honesty and focusing on the Pave platinum standard, we encourage you to join our team.

We're growing fast, building an incredible team and product, and having plenty of fun as we do it in our San Francisco and New York City offices.

The Compensation Strategy Lifecycle

We have an ambitious roadmap that encompasses the entire compensation strategy lifecycle:

  • Defining compensation philosophies
  • Modeling jobs in Pave
  • Understanding trends in market data
  • Translating trends into compensation bands
  • Applying band adjustments into merit cycle planning
  • Communicating compensation adjustments to eligible employees
  • Helping employees understand the value of their compensation over time
What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of fullstack engineering experience using modern web technologies (TypeScript, React, Node/Express, MySQL), preferably at technology companies
  • Strong product sense: You leverage your customer understanding and empathy to make the right tradeoffs for what should be MVP, and what should come next
  • Ability to adjust approach: You have a good sense for when you should cut corners to ship a new piece of functionality, and when you should take the time to invest in a sound architecture for the long-haul
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: You should be comfortable
