Details of the Hematology/Oncology Role:

  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Patient care: Manage 13 infusion chairs across two rooms, with 5 private rooms for long-term infusions. Daily patient volume includes 15-20 infusions, in addition to consultations and follow-ups. Call responsibilities are shared among 5 Medical Oncologists.
  • Team composition: Collaborate with 1 employed Hematologist/Oncologist, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 4 patient navigators, and a dedicated Social Worker and Dietician. Nursing staff are trained in Oncology Nursing Society protocols for chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and are cross-trained for radiation patients. Participate in 5 cancer conferences monthly (2 for breast cancer, 2 for lung cancer, and 1 general conference).

The area offers a variety of recreational facilities, including indoor soccer and tennis, a state-of-the-art YMCA, and a strong emphasis on sports and music in schools. Positioned strategically in northwest central Ohio, the town is easily accessible from major cities in the region.
