Position Overview

The State Teachers' Retirement System is in search of a dedicated professional to join the Continuous Improvement Team as a Senior Research Data Analyst. This role is pivotal in enhancing organizational performance and fostering innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

The Continuous Improvement Team is tasked with the strategic oversight of business process enhancement and reengineering initiatives. This team plays a crucial role in:

  • Identifying and analyzing complex operational improvement opportunities using established methodologies.
  • Conducting thorough research and providing analytical support to drive the mission of the Continuous Improvement Team.
  • Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and leading project meetings, including workshops and focus groups.
  • Utilizing data analysis tools, such as Excel, to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Developing and evaluating performance metrics for Business Process Improvement (BPI) and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) projects.
  • Communicating findings and recommendations effectively to various stakeholders, including senior management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in leading projects with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with change management strategies and process improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting information to varied audiences.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work. Employees are expected to work on-site several days a week.

Compensation:

Employees may be eligible for periodic salary increases based on performance evaluations.
