Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field, passing instruments and sutures to the physician as needed.
  • Assist the physician during surgical procedures, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN license required.
Work Environment
