Job Summary

The Clinical Reimbursement Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided to patients and residents covered by insurance programs. This position requires a strong understanding of laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient records and clinical care programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
  • Perform proficiently in all competency areas, including patient rights and safety and sanitation
  • Maintain professional working relationships with associates, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information
  • Understand and follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
Essential Functions
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
