Position Overview

Role Summary:
We are currently in search of a proficient Concrete Machinery Operator to enhance our workforce. The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience with a variety of concrete machinery, including but not limited to laser screeds, skid loaders, and track skid loaders equipped with laser grading systems. This role will also involve the operation and ongoing training related to our Total Station equipment. Additionally, the operator will assist with the transportation of machinery to different job sites, engage in snow removal tasks, and may be required to oversee smaller projects as necessary. A strong emphasis on safety is paramount, and adherence to industry standards and the use of appropriate protective gear is expected.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage ranging from $28 to $32, commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule: Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, though actual hours may vary based on project requirements, with potential for overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation, maintenance, cleaning, and storage of machinery.
  • Conduct pre- and post-use inspections of equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
  • Follow project specifications and directives from site supervisors.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery as required.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion within specified guidelines.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance personnel for necessary repairs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Concrete Machinery Operator or in a similar capacity.
  • Familiarity with various types of concrete machinery and their operational procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Physical endurance and strength to meet the demands of the role.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
