Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer III to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical systems, and plumbing. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the overall efficiency of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs as needed
  • Ensure the overall efficiency of our facilities, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience in maintenance and repair
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
