Job Title: Physical Therapist

We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to join our team at Personal Touch Home Care of Virginia Inc.

About the Role:

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for implementing standards of care for physical therapy services, including completing initial assessments, routine visits, and communicating patient-related information to the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides physical therapy services to patients according to a written physician's plan of care.
  • Assesses and evaluates therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participation in the development of the total plan of care.
  • Directs physical therapy treatment, instructs patients and families/caregivers in the use and care of therapeutic appliances, and determines priority needs for physical therapy.
  • Reports to physicians patients' reaction to treatment or changes in condition and initiates physical therapy programs.
  • Supervises physical therapy assistants, home health aides/personal care aides when participating in patients' rehabilitation regimes.
Requirements:
  • Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia.
  • Preferred two (2) years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • Home Health experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
  • Strong computer skills; familiarity with Allscripts/NetSmart preferred.

Competitive hourly rate of $38.00, Monday to Friday schedule, and the opportunity to work with a reputable home care company.

Please note that relocation to Gloucester, VA is required before starting work.
