Position: KYC/AML Compliance Specialist
Location: Newark, DE (Fully Onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Compensation: $30.34/hr. on W2
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Quality Assurance assessments to ensure the effective execution of the Monitoring and Testing Program in accordance with the firm's established Testing Standards and Procedures.
- Develop comprehensive testing strategies and plans.
- Collaborate with Monitoring & Testing, Operational Risk, Compliance managers, and business stakeholders on departmental initiatives, particularly in the formulation of the Annual Monitoring and Testing Plan.
- Engage with global testing partners to facilitate international monitoring and testing assignments as directed.
- Perform ongoing Quality Assurance evaluations of Compliance functions to verify adherence to controls and standards.
- Scrutinize and assess the reliability and integrity of data, validating conclusions and evaluating the appropriateness of assumptions.
- Review the quality of completed tasks based on Firmwide standards.
- Identify critical issues, trends, and observations, effectively summarizing results for key stakeholders while ensuring alignment with the Global QA framework and governance approach.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of internal control principles with the ability to assess and determine the adequacy of controls, considering business and technology risks holistically.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector, specifically in Compliance, Risk Management, or Audit.
- Experience in Operational Risk Management or Compliance, or related fields such as audit, operations, or business control management, with a solid grasp of operational risks and their drivers.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills to influence and negotiate desired outcomes. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and senior management.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct end-to-end reviews of processes, analyze various risks, and understand the applicability of different regulations and policies to identify gaps and risks in the operational environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of control design and root cause analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities, capable of establishing credibility and fostering strong partnerships with senior business partners.
