About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Hooker DeJong, Inc. Architects, Engineers, Planners as a Senior Project Architect. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating project team efforts for effective execution of project design and the delivery of construction documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams through coordination and quality assurance processes throughout the project.
- Participate in documentation and clarification efforts, as well as submittal review and site observations during bidding and construction.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, and interior designers to deliver high-quality projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Licensed Architect in the United States.
- 8+ years of experience in all phases of design, from schematic design through construction documentation and close-out.
- Thorough knowledge of construction codes and agency compliance.
- Essential knowledge of coordinating work with engineering disciplines.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit software and/or AutoCAD a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organization skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Self-motivated and ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment.
