About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hooker DeJong, Inc. Architects, Engineers, Planners as a Senior Project Architect. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating project team efforts for effective execution of project design and the delivery of construction documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams through coordination and quality assurance processes throughout the project.
  • Participate in documentation and clarification efforts, as well as submittal review and site observations during bidding and construction.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and interior designers to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Licensed Architect in the United States.
  • 8+ years of experience in all phases of design, from schematic design through construction documentation and close-out.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction codes and agency compliance.
  • Essential knowledge of coordinating work with engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit software and/or AutoCAD a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment.
