Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at Barracuda Staffing & Consulting. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing detailed product models, drawings, and blueprints using AutoCAD Inventor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop detailed product models, drawings, and blueprints using AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) to support manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and update product specifications to ensure clarity and accuracy for production teams.
  • Manage product data through the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system from design to production.
  • Ensure smooth integration of new designs and products into the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to enhance lifecycle management and improve product data workflows.
  • Integrate engineering systems into the company's ERP system (Oracle NetSuite), ensuring efficient data flow and functionality across departments.
  • Develop custom scripts and applications to automate engineering and manufacturing processes, reducing manual effort and improving productivity.
  • Lead automation initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency in both engineering and manufacturing.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for engineering and manufacturing processes to ensure consistent execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to improve ERP performance and overall system functionality.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in lieu of formal education.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience using CAD software (AutoCAD Inventor or similar) for designing and modeling products.
  • 3-5 years of software development experience, including proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, and a variety of project management methodologies (Traditional, Agile, Hybrid).
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Quality, and Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
