Job Overview

The Hydroblast/Vacuum Technician Level 3 at Atlas Industrial Outsourcing LLC is responsible for executing industrial hydro-blasting and vacuum operations, alongside related labor tasks during outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, and general maintenance activities. This role is crucial in advanced manufacturing and power generation sectors across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties associated with Level 1 and Level 2 Technicians as necessary.
  • Support the Team Leader in managing and guiding the team, ensuring accountability and fairness.
  • Keep the Team Leader informed about personnel adjustments as required.
  • Understand the scope of work for each assigned project.
  • Assist the Team Leader in coordinating tasks and ensuring team accountability.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of company and client policies.
  • Regularly communicate job status and any arising complications to the Team Leader.
  • Foster relationships with assigned teams and mentor new employees.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies and best practices.
  • Assist in replacing any damaged or missing personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site.
  • Review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) on-site, contributing to hazard identification and control measures.
  • Promptly report and rectify any unsafe conditions to the Team Leader.
  • Immediately report any incidents or injuries to the Team Leader.
  • Document and report on-the-job training (OJT) provided to field employees.
  • Participate in pre-job hazard assessments and inspections prior to commencing work.
  • Operate manual and automated hydro-blasting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Manage the operation of pumping equipment and specialized hydro-blasting tools.
  • Conduct surface examinations to ensure compliance with customer and facility standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment utilized during jobs as needed.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
  • Operate and troubleshoot vacuum trucks or vacuum pumps effectively.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1500 hours of verifiable hydro-blasting experience.
  • Current WJTA certification or completion within 30 days.
  • Ability to pass Tech 2 and Tech 3 certification with a score of 80% or higher.
