Telecommunications Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Telcom Construction Inc.

The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and maintenance functions related to aerial telecommunications infrastructure. This role involves installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, placing and removing utility poles, and safely operating mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks and digger derricks.

• Cable Installation and Repair: Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
• Pole Placement and Removal: Place and remove utility poles, taking into account safety regulations and environmental considerations.
• Mechanized Equipment Operation: Safely operate various types of mechanized equipment, including bucket trucks and digger derricks, to facilitate efficient installation and maintenance processes.
• Safety Procedures: Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and safety barriers to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
• DOT Health Card: Must pass and maintain a DOT health card.
• Construction Experience: Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Licenses and Certifications: A valid, unrestricted driver's license with a good driving record and willingness to obtain an Unrestricted Class A CDL within 6 months of employment.
• Aerial Cable Knowledge: Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques.
