Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for coordinating patient flow to obtain requested imaging studies in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for verifying orders, performing quality assurance on imaging equipment, and ensuring proper patient identification and imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient flow to obtain requested imaging studies
  • Verify orders and perform quality assurance on imaging equipment
  • Ensure proper patient identification and imaging procedures
  • Prepare and administer radiopaque mixtures for patients
  • Operate Med-Rad power injector
  • Communicate effectively with ordering physicians and other departments
  • Perform venipuncture on patients requiring IV contrast
  • Obtain written or verbal consent from patients or responsible parties before administering IV contrast
  • Prepare and maintain records and files as directed
Requirements:
  • Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • Ability to lift, move, and load 20-30 pounds
Working Conditions:

This position is located at Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital and requires flexibility to cover a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and non-restricted call duties.
