Job SummaryThe Staff Dentist is a key member of our dental team, responsible for examining patient health history, diagnosing dental disease, recommending treatment modalities, rendering those treatments, and recording appropriate documentation in patient charts.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage patient dental care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Record and maintain accurate documentation on patient clinical records.
- Assist in establishing an effective fee schedule, expense budgets, and program plans.
- Supervise dental support personnel as needed.
- Participate in GLBHC's Quality Assurance activities.
- Contribute to marketing and public relations efforts for the dental program.
- Assist in interviewing and training dental support personnel.
- Perform other functions related to the GLBHC Dental Program as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited dental school (DDS or DMD).
- Certification and licensure by the State Board of Dentistry in Michigan.
- 1-2 years of experience working in an underserved area (desired but not required).
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on national averages and industry standards for similar positions in the Great Lakes Bay region.
