Role Summary
The Registered Nurse will be integral in delivering healthcare services tailored to clients with mental health challenges within a supportive shelter environment. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to assess and address the healthcare needs of individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic and empathetic nursing care to clients facing behavioral health issues.
- Evaluate, plan, implement, and monitor nursing interventions for clients with intricate health requirements.
- Work alongside an interdisciplinary team to formulate and execute personalized care strategies.
- Oversee a group of Certified Nursing Assistants, offering mentorship and support in patient care delivery.
- Conduct ongoing training for CNAs to ensure they are prepared to meet the distinct needs of clients with mental health challenges.
- Administer prescribed medications and observe clients for any potential side effects.
- Provide education to clients on the significance of adhering to medication regimens and offer necessary assistance.
- Manage behavioral health emergencies with professionalism and composure.
- Collaborate with mental health experts to devise effective crisis intervention plans.
- Maintain precise and current medical documentation for all clients.
- Compile and present regular updates on client health and the success of care interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Experience working with clients who have behavioral health needs.
