Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to support the development and maturity of our welding center of excellence. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop, optimize, and manage weld processes and parameters for multiple welding processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize weld processes and parameters for multiple welding processes, including electron beam welding, laser beam welding, gas tungsten arc welding, orbital tube welding, and gas metal arc welding.
- Act as a subject matter expert in support of engineering and trades teams on project-specific welding requirements, providing direction on applicable code requirements, drawing interpretation, and testing.
- Work closely with internal and external quality and testing stakeholders to determine quality and testing requirements and related processes for welded assemblies.
- Identify make vs. buy opportunities for welding quality and testing processes and manage key quality and testing vendor relationships.
- Fluent knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes (BPVC) and experience with design, fabrication, manufacturing, and testing of welded assemblies.
- Hands-on and design experience with carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminum, titanium, and/or high-nickel alloys.
- Fundamental understanding of welding processes, including electron beam, laser beam, gas tungsten arc, and gas metal arc.
- Tooling design experience for welded assemblies to reduce part distortion and improve part consistency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Welding or Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience.
We offer a competitive salary range of $78,597 to $117,896, plus participation in our annual bonus plan and long-term incentive plan. Our teams work 100% onsite in our Rush, NY office.
