Job Description:


As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and services. In this dynamic and patient-centric environment, you will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with customers and patients, while utilizing your skills and talents to serve and care for them.


Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in the practice of pharmacy, including tasks such as filling prescriptions, processing patient information, and maintaining accurate records. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the operation of pharmacy systems, including cash registers and inventory management software.


As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will engage with customers and patients, resolving issues and answering questions to ensure a positive experience. You will also model and share customer service best practices with your colleagues to deliver exceptional service.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including tasks such as filling prescriptions, processing patient information, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Operate pharmacy systems, including cash registers and inventory management software.
  • Engage with customers and patients, resolving issues and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with colleagues to deliver exceptional service.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance.


Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Prefer good computer skills.
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
