About the Role:

The Regional Medical Center of Memphis is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Ortho-Medicine / Observation Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients within the observation unit, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Deliver nursing care according to medical regime and the nursing intervention appropriate for the patients' conditions, adhering to established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Care for patients with various medical conditions, including medicine, surgery, orthopedic, and trauma patients.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved nursing school/program.
  • Qualified by education, training, or experience to work with the school-age, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient population, as specialty assignment dictates.
  • 3 years' experience in patient care in an acute care hospital is preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure to work in the state of TN.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Physical Demands:

Prolonged standing and walking; lifting, turning patients and equipment; repeated bending, squatting, and stooping; exposure to infectious agents.

Visual acuity is needed to assess color changes, verify accuracy of written materials, and administer and accurately prepare medications.
