About the Role

As a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to patients during critical phases of their medical journey in our fast-paced recovery unit.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide post-operative and recovery care to patients following surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients vital signs and overall condition, ensuring a safe and smooth recovery process.
  • Administer medications and pain management treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery plans.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Adhere to established protocols, policies, and safety standards in the recovery unit.

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license in the state of New Mexico or ability to obtain.
  • BSN degree preferred, though ASN with relevant experience considered.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on recovery or post-operative care preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple patients and tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and advocacy.
