About the RoleThe Health Information Management Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the health records department, including monitoring confidentiality and security. You will work closely with our clinical staff to ensure that health records are maintained in compliance with standards of documentation and format.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with experience working in a medical office setting and knowledge of medical terminology and health record maintenance. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is a must
Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations of the health records department.
- Monitor confidentiality and security of patient records.
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure accurate and complete health records.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for health record management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
- Two years of experience in a medical office setting.
- High School diploma or GED. Health Information Technology training preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and health record maintenance.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
