Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counseling Specialist to join our team at Compass Health Network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the appropriateness of referrals for counseling, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and maintaining client records in accordance with agency and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing referrals for counseling and determining readiness for services
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic services
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
  • Providing culturally competent services to meet the unique needs of each consumer and family member
  • Completing treatment plans with individuals served
  • Referring clients to other human/social services as needed
  • Providing emergency services for crisis calls and walk-ins
  • Providing licensure supervision, if applicable
  • Attending training sessions as required by Compass Health Network, accreditors, and funders

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of utilization management criteria and agency regulations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
