Key Responsibilities:
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for:
  • Administering ionizing radiation treatments to patients with cancer under the supervision of Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Physicists.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in simulation procedures and operating various equipment.
  • Understanding and executing the radiation therapy plans as prescribed.
  • Accurately localizing treatment fields to ensure reproducibility.
  • Coordinating schedules for new patients undergoing radiation therapy.

Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
  • Technical or Associate's degree in Radiography
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the ARRT
  • If registry eligible, must obtain registration within 60 days of employment
  • Advanced certification in Radiation Therapy within 60 days of employment
  • Basic Life Support certification

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Radiation Therapy
