This is a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse position located on our Onamia MN campus.
Job SummaryThe LPN will utilize the nursing process to provide direct and indirect care to residents and their families in a supervised, systematic approach.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care utilizing the components of the nursing process.
- Conduct effective interviews to gather physical and psychosocial information from residents and their families.
- Enhance continuity of care by meeting residents' physical and psychosocial needs, identifying changes and trends in resident status, and individualizing their care plan accordingly.
- Ensure a secure and safe resident environment by practicing safety and infection control measures, providing treatments and medication administration, and responding to emergency situations.
- Function as a positive role model in professional relationships and interactions by utilizing and sharing leadership skills appropriate to the role of a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Adhere to restorative care philosophy by incorporating principles into direct care provided to residents on a daily basis.
- Ensure quality resident care is delivered by assuming accountability and responsibility for the quality of care provided and demonstrating initiative and judgment.
- Minnesota Licensure as LPN
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check as required by the State of Minnesota and a drug screening per MLHS policy.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, policies, procedures, and medical ethics equivalent to your level of practice and experience.
- Demonstrate ability to provide work direction to other staff and maintain their accountability.
