Job Summary:The Operating Room Nurse will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in the Emergency Room as an RN and be familiar with medical software and equipment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the health care team
- 2 years of current experience in Emergency Room as an RN
- Current BLS (AHA only) Required
- Experience with Telemetry
- Familiarity with medical software (such as Epic, McKesson, etc.) and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
The Operating Room Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.
